Thank you for contacting us. We have received your submission.

Adam McKay's movies are usually smug and unbearable. "Big Short" pats our heads, using naked Margot Robbie to explain what the subprime crisis is, and the overrated "Vice President" tells Dick Cheney with a bad "Saturday Night Live" impression Life story.

However, the director's news style and black humor collide with each other in "Don't Look Up". This is an interesting satire about a comet about to collide with the earth.

The movie is not explosive, but the plot is.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence play Randall and Kate. The two astronomers discovered a 10 km wide space rock flying to the world and determined that it will be in 6 months and 14 months. Impact within a day-this is an extinction-level event.

Running time: 138 minutes. R level (overall language, some pornographic content, nudity, and drug content). It will be shown on Friday. On Netflix, December 24th.

The panicked duo brought their findings to the swaggering US President (Meryl Streep, meh), and was surprised to find that she laughed off. A New York newspaper subsequently reported the story, but no one clicked on it. Therefore, they participated in a "Scarborough Country" news program called "The Daily Rip", and one of the producers told them the host (Cate Blanchett and Taylor Perry) " Love the science clips. Keep it relaxed and happy!"

When the comet became visible to the naked eye, people finally believed the story, but formed two competing tags: #Justlookup and #Dontlookup. Yes, the world has successfully politicized its imminent destruction.

And, uh, these chain events may be metaphors for the pandemic. But it's fun and interesting—not a depression from the headlines.

There is a lot of laughter. In one scene, DiCaprio is a geek, anti-social weird, he appeared on a "Sesame Street" style puppet TV show. "The President's plan to save the planet and let us all have a home will work, won't it?" Elmo's double asked him.

"Every man, woman, and child on this planet will die!" He screamed at the fur ball like Howard Bill in "Internet".

There was a group of celebrities along the way, and the best of them stood on tiptoes and walked into the "Doctor". The realm of "strange love". Mark Rylance (Mark Rylance) plays a tech giant and motivational speaker named Peter Isherville. His face is full of smiles and his voice is calm as if he is about to have a nervous breakdown. People. Ariana Grande is a pop star, and she is an improvisation on herself. Timothée Chalamet is a stonemason in Illinois. He and Kate are affectionate. Once in the supermarket, she cried out in a funny way: "I fucking love potato fingerlings! "

If McKay used a scalpel to make the most interesting part of his satire, someone should pass him a machete to chop off some of the script. The movie is almost 2 hours and 10 minutes, and as the surprise stops, the ending becomes inevitable, and we are exhausted by it.

Nevertheless, DiCaprio and Lawrence have a good natural chemical reaction, although he must work harder to become a credible normal person. In a sense, this movie makes Leo feel like a week home from the deadly iceberg to the deadly comet.
