What is the best song in Green Sun? This is what we hope to learn from you in this week's Loudwire Nights weekly artist poll!
Every week, we will ask you to choose your favorite track from the list of the 10 largest songs in the next week’s artist catalog.
You must vote by noon on Friday, US Eastern Time. Then, we will play the three most-ticketed tracks during the "Artist of the Week" period of Loudwire Nights to start next Monday's show!
Our featured artist this week is Green Day, one of the biggest bands in the American punk revival in the 1990s.
Around 1986, Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt established Green Day in California. They released several albums in 1990 and 1991, but it was Dookie in 1994 that really caught their attention, especially songs such as "Basket Case" and "Longview". The record has sold about 20 million copies and is known as a real breakthrough.
A few years later, they ushered in the second major breakthrough with the 2004 "American Idiot". Although it hasn't caught up with Dookie in sales, it has its own Broadway adaptation, which was officially released in 2010. They released another six studio albums since the American Idiot. The most recent one was the father of all bastards last year.
Green Day is still one of the most beloved punk torch bands, so please go below and vote for your favorite song, and listen to Loudwire Nights at 7pm EST next Monday to find out which three tracks have the upper hand.
Tonight listen to the three best AC/DC songs from the Bon Scott era that you voted for!
Loudwire Nights with Toni Gonzalez will air every night from 7pm Eastern Time. You can listen here or download the Loudwire app anytime, anywhere.
